10-Year-Old Boy Found In Emaciated State After Being Tied In Animal Shed, Left To Eat Goat Feed, And Own Poop For 2 Years

A 10-year-old boy was rescued by the authorities after he was found tied to a pole in an animal shed and left to eat goat feed and his own poop for 2 years.

This happened when his own family lived in comfort.

The boy was reportedly tied to a pole in an animal shed of his parents’ house.

He was left there to eat goat feed and own poop for 2 straight years.

Jibril Aliyu, the boy, was chained to a wooden pole in the Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria.

He lived amongst goats and chickens as his dad and 2 stepmothers along with 17 siblings lived comfortably in a home.

After a tip-off, the boy was rescued by human rights lawyers.

Hamza Attahiru, a lead rescuer in the team, revealed that the boy was living in horrific conditions after the death of his mother 2 years ago.

As of writing this article, the boy is in an intensive area unit at the Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital in Birnin Kebbi.

The father and stepmothers of the boy have been arrested.

DSP Nafi’u Abubakar, a spokesman for the rescue team, said that the arrests were made after the boy was discovered on Sunday.

A brother of Jibril said that the boy was chained to a post because he had epilepsy.

The family said they had to sell their own house and car in order to afford the epilepsy treatment of the boy.

Abubakar Bagudu, the governor of the Kebbi state, has ordered a full investigation into the incident.
