103-year-old Dorothy Pollack is here to show you that age is just a number and you are never too old to do something that you have wanted to do since birth.
Dorothy turned 103 this year and she celebrated her birthday by ticking off an epic item off her bucket list.
The great grandmother got a frog tattoo.
After spending months in isolation at her care home due to the coronavirus, her granddaughter Teresa Zavitz-Jones says that the mental health of Dorothy had started to dip.
Teresa got in touch with CNN and said:
Covid-19 had her in prison for months. The nurse in the home said she was horribly depressed and we needed to get her out. We couldn’t see her so we had no idea how she really was. She’s extremely hard of hearing so phone calls were not helpful.
Teresa eventually was able to get her grandmother discharged from the nursing home in Muskegon, Michigan.
When they asked Dorothy about what she would want to do, the 103-year-old great grandmother said that she wants to get a tattoo.
Dorothy said:
It was pretty exciting because years ago my grandson wanted me to get one and I wouldn’t do it. All of a sudden, I decided I would like to have one. And if I could, a frog. Because I like frogs.
Dorothy went to A.W.O.L. Custom Tattooing in Muskegon to get an image of a frog.
The tattoo artist of Dorothy said that she was the oldest person had inked by far and it was a pleasure and an honor to do such a thing.
He also said that he was happy to get an item ticked off the list of Dorothy.
Not only that, Dorothy also rode a big bike!
Such an amazing thing to do!
