On June 7, 2019, a 14-year-old girl was raped in Gaya, Bihar by her neighbor. The teen passed away the next day.

During an interview with ANI, DSP Rajkumar Shah said, “The accused has been identified, he belongs to Jharkhand. We are trying to locate him. We reached the spot today morning after receiving the information and sent the girl’s body for post-mortem. The accused is a neighbor and works as a plumber. We have taken statements of the girl’s relatives.”

Chintu Kumar, the neighbor of the 14-year-old girl, works as a plumber.

Kumar allegedly brought the minor to a secluded area and raped her there.

When the victim came back to drop the teen at her house, Chintu was brutally beaten by the relatives of the girl.

But, the family members of the girl did not register a complaint to the police for the said incident, and they did not bring the minor to a hospital.

When the police found out about the death of the minor, they launched a probe.

A case has been registered against Chintu Kumar.
