17-year-old from Coimbatore commits suicide after failing the NEET

A 17-year-old girl committed suicide on June 5, 2019, after finding out that she has failed in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the 17-year-old girl did not pass the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test and out of that, she got into depression.

The girl was found hanging inside her house on June 5, 2019.

The result of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test was released on June 5, 2019.

According to the police, the 17-year-old girl was expecting that she will pass the test and was hopeful that she will be joining the medical course as she scored 490 marks when she was in the 12th grade.

2 years ago, S Anitha, a Dalit girl who was only 17-years-old committed suicide after failing the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test. Anitha scored 116 marks in her Class 12 exam.
