41-Year-Old Man Dies After Taco-Eating Contest At California Baseball Game

A 41-year-old man died after participating in a taco-eating competition at a minor league baseball game. The competition took place at the Chukchansi Park in Fresno, California.

The incident happened during a game between the Fresno Grizzlies and the Memphis Redbirds.

The man was identified as 41-year-old Dana Hutchings.

The spokesperson of the Fresno Grizzlies said that the on-site medical staff and the paramedics attended 41-year-old Dana Hutchings after he passed out.

Dana passed away after he was being rushed to the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California.

The department of the Sheriff said, “We are not ruling a cause of death yet, but we have an idea.”

Derek Franks, the president of the Fresno Grizzlies, released a statement about the sudden death of Dana, he said, “We are devastated to learn that the fan that received medical attention following an event at Tuesday evening’s game has passed away.”

The statement added, “The Fresno Grizzlies extend our heartfelt prayers and condolences to the family of Mr. Hutchings. The safety and security of our fans is our highest priority. We will work closely with local authorities and provide any helpful information that is requested.”
