Doctors from a government hospital in Udaipur removed 80 metal objects from a mentally disturbed person’s stomach, the man reportedly had keys and coins inside his stomach and complained about severe stomach pain.

The operation took the doctors 90 minutes to remove the metal objects from his abdomen.

During an interview with ANI, Dr. DK Sharma, a doctor at the government hospital in Udaipur, said, “This could be considered a strange case. The man was admitted in the hospital complaining about a severe stomach ache. He was asked to undergo X-Ray. We were stunned to see small and big metal objects including nails inside his stomach.”

Dr. Sharma added that the metal objects inside man weighed about 800 grams in total.

The doctors who performed the surgery said that the patient has mental health problems and is an addict.

Dr. Sharma continued, “He was mentally ill and addict. He would have swallowed everything. When he started complaining about continuous pain in the stomach, his family members brought him to the hospital.”

Dr. Sharma said that the patient is now out of danger and is recovering from his surgery.
