American Daredevil Walks On Tightrope Across Active Volcano
Nik Wallenda, a daredevil from America, walked on a tightrope across the crater of an active volcano that is known as “The Mouth Of Hell” in Nicaragua on Wednesday.
It took Nik 30 minutes to traverse the boiling lake of lava that is spewing toxic gases.
The Masaya Volcano is 2083 feet high and 12 miles away from Managua.
It is one of the only 8 active volcanoes in the world with an active lava lake.
Wallenda reportedly started his 1800 foot walk across the crater at around 8:20 pm on Wednesday.
Nik finished 31 minutes later.

For the extremely dangerous stunt, Nik wore goggles and a respirator for protection from the gases that were being released by the active volcano.
Halfway through the stunt, Nik removed his goggles.
Wallenda, who is the seventh generation of the famed Great Wallendas Family of stunt daredevils and circus performers, said gusts of wind caused him to lose his balance for a small amount of time.
Nik also said that the gases affected his eyes despite the goggles.
Recently, Nik walked a high wire across the Niagara Falls and made a blindfolded crossing between 2 towers in Chicago.

Nik said his blindfolded crossing between 2 towers in Chicago was the longest and most dangerous walk of his life.
However, this stunt was not like that.
In this stunt, he had safety harnesses for the volcano crossing, which was broadcast for ABC’s Volcano Live, a special and local TV Channel.
The entire stunt was captured by 17 cameras and 4 drones.
After completing the feat, Nik said he was relieved to make it across the active volcano safely as the unpredictable winds made the walk on the tightrope challenging.
The good thing is Nik made it alive.
