Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, made a number of huge statements during the Lok Sabha in which he said “One-Third of Jammu and Kashmir is not with us” and asked “who is responsible for the partition of Jammu and Kashmir”.
During the Lok Sabha, Minister Shah said, “Manish Tiwari is raising questions on partition today. I want to ask him a question. Who is responsible for partition? Today, one-third of Jammu and Kashmir is not in our control. Who is responsible for that?”
Minister Shah added that Jawaharlal Nehru declared a ceasefire in the region when the Indian army pushed the troops of Pakistan back.
Minister Shah also said that an elected government in Jammu and Kashmir is the government’s top priority right now and an Assembly election can be held by the end of the year in the state.
When Amit Shah was being objected by the Congress Party, he said, “Why should I not refer to these incidents. The nation is paying heavy price for these mistakes. Because of that mistake thousands of people have been killed. Because of these mistakes, the country has become a victim of terrorism today. Why should not I take name?”
Later on, the Home Minister then said that he would be using “the first PM” in his speech and would not be using the name.
The Minister also talked about what the party has accomplished in India throughout the years and mentioned that senior citizens are now receiving “pensions”, youngsters are now getting jobs, free gas fittings have been provided for houses who did not have houses, and toilets were made for those people who could not afford them.
