Authorities Arrest 6 Indian Nationals In Sri Lanka For Trying To Smuggle Gold Worth Rs. 1.7 Crores
Authorities in Sri Lanka arrested 6 Indian Nationals at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake for trying to smuggle gold worth Rs. 1.7 crores.
The CID (Criminal Investigation Department) of Sri Lanka arrested the 6 men at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.
Four Indians were arrested from the Departure Terminal of the international airport for possessing 1.06 kilograms of gold without any documentation.
2 more Indian nationals were arrested from the same airport terminal for possessing 1.3 kilograms of gold without any proper documentation.
The men were arrested for trying to bring out gold worth Rs. 1.7 crores out of Sri Lanka.
The Indian National have been arrested are being questioned by the customs officials at the International Airport.
