In Madhya Pradesh, a man had been ordered to wed his minor little girl after he incidentally murdered a calf. The town panchayat had given the order to the man to wed her girl as a method for penance for murder.
But a rapid action by nearby authorities and police prevented this setback.
The local organization and police halted the marriage in a town under Pathariya Police Station in Vidisha region, announced Indian Express
In remote areas of Madhya Pradesh, social amends is viewed as an approach to punish individuals associated with an inauspicious episode. As a rule, men are solicited to wed their girls irrespective of her age, on the grounds that the villagers accept kanyadaan in the guilty party’s family as the best way to avert the curse.
Pathariya police headquarters in-control BD Singh told the Indian Express that the man was riding his bike when he unintentionally hit the calf, prompting its passing. He took a plunge in the Ganges and was to throw a feast to the people in his village. In any case, they denied and requested that he wed his little girl.
“A group of Women and Child Development office and the police arrived at the town on Friday when tipped that the girl was a minor,” included the report.
From her Aadhaar identification card, it was found out that the young lady isn’t even fourteen.
