Heart-Stopping Moment: Bronx woman climbed into the lion enclosure, taunted man-eating predator, and managed to survive!
The incident reportedly happened over the weekend.
The video that was shared on Social Media showed an unidentified woman standing with an African Lion at the Bronx Zoo.
Investigations revealed that the woman climbed into the enclosure of the lion by bypassing the low wooden safety barrier.
The video shows the woman staring at the lion after she got in front of the killer predator.
In the video, you could see the lion curiously watching the woman as she started to dance and taunt him.
There are 2 videos of the incident – one shows the woman waving at the lion and the second taunting him.
A woman in the clip could be heard saying “She shouldn’t be doing that” and another one could be herd asking “Is someone with her?”
The only thing that was protecting the woman was a large concrete moat that was surrounding the inner exhibit.
Luckily, no one was injured in the incident.
The Bronx Zoo confirmed that the incident happened on Saturday.
The staff of the Bronx Zoo received a report that a person climbed over a safety barrier on September 28, 2019.
The Bronx Zoo said, “This action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death. Barriers and rules are in place to keep both visitors, staff, and animals safe.”
The zoo added, “We have a zero-tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers.”
It is still not clear if the Bronx zoo took any legal action against the unidentified woman in the video.
