Caught on Cam: A builder was video kicking a rat 30 feet in the air like a football after a fellow worker smashed it with a plank of wood on a construction site.
Animal rights groups called out the workers for bullying the helpless animal.
In the video, you can see the animal running for its life while a worker tried to smash it with a plank of wood.
After it escaped the smash, a builder kicks him 30 feet into the air like a football.
The video was first shared on Twitter, and it has been viewed online more than 6 million times.
The video has been retweeted by 110 thousand twitter users.
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has slammed the builders and are trying to track down the two men for their cruel act.
Elisa Allen, the director of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, released a statement about the incident.
Elisa said, “This video shows an utter disregard for decency, a total lack of empathy, and the sort of men who value bullying over brains. Rats have the capacity to experience pain and fear, just as humans do.”
Elisa added, “They make good mothers and are sensitive and resourceful in eking out their lives. They giggle when they’re tickled and show empathy – something the men in this video clearly lack – for other rats in peril.”
Elisa continued, “They deserve our protection, as all animals do, and PETA urges authorities to move swiftly to track down these callous men before more sentient beings endure a similarly violent fate.”
The video of the act went viral after meme creators added a commentator shouting “Agueroooo”.
