Car dashcam captures pilot ejecting out from F-16 military jet before it crashes into a warehouse

A car dashcam captured the exact moment a pilot of an f-16 military jet ejecting out from the plane before it crashed into a warehouse.

The footage was caught on camera by James Dyer, the short clip showed the fighter jet declining and suddenly, a burst of smoke appears from the jet.

The LA Times said that the F-16 Military Jet faced hydraulic problems which forced the pilot to eject from it.

Luckily, the pilot ejected on time and landed safely in a field near the crash site.

The F-16 Military Jet crashed into See Water Inc. Warehouse, located in Riverside County California, which is near the March Air Reserve Base in Moreno Valley.

A worker in the warehouse saw the aftermath of the crash, he even managed to record the video of the aftermath, in the video, you can hear him saying “Holy… dude. That’s a… airplane; that’s a military airplane in our building.”

The crash also turned the sprinkler system in the warehouse on.

Frank Sandoval, an eye-witness of the crash, said, “Sales rep says, ‘Hey, there’s a plane going down over us.”

Frank added, “There’s no way, and sure enough we saw a guy eject right over our warehouse. The plane went into one side of the building through the other side of the building.”

Daniel Gallegos, a worker in the warehouse, said, “I just hear this explosion and turn around to the back of the building, and I just have seen a burst of flames and just the ceiling started falling through every part of the building.”

He added, “I turned around, and my co-worker just told me to get out, so I just made a run for it.”

12 people were brought to a hospital after attaining minor injuries.

Luckily, no one attained serious injuries in the unfortunate event.

The pilot of the F-16 Fighter Jet was also brought to the hospital, after getting checked up by the doctors, he was released.

Tom McNamara, a Colonel, said, “Any time you’re dealing with an aircraft incident, there are potential hazards.”

The Colonel added, “Incidents like this are very complex. Safety is our number one priority at this point.”

Fernando Herrera, the Fire Captain of the State Fire Department, said, “Anything that may be in the warehouse is a concern, obviously not just to firefighters, but to the military.”

According to reports, the F-16 jet was on a training mission when the incident happened, it was reportedly under the supervision of the North American Aerospace Defence Command.
