A young man from China was caught on cam getting into an ambulance despite having a folding knife lodged in the back of his head.
The young man in the video, whose identity was not shared with the public, got into a fight with another man close to a mall.
The incident happened in the Fuling District of Chongqing, south-western China, on Saturday, July 11, 2020.
Images that were shared with the public shows him walking with a knife lodged on the back of his head.
Blood could also be seen dripping down from his top.
A paramedic is seen taking him to the ambulance while holding a bag of saline solution for him.
Pictures of the patient show him lying on a bed inside Fuling Central Hospital.
His head was shaved but the folding blade is left in his skull.
He later went into surgery.
A spokeswoman for the hospital said that the surgery of the patient to get the knife removed was successful.
The spokeswoman said:
The young man is doing fine. He suffered an open fracture, but he was already very lucid yesterday (July 12).
Preliminary investigations claimed that the knife was thrown from a height before it landed on the backside of the man’s.
It was later confirmed that the knife was jammed into the head of the patient following an altercation.
It is still unclear whether any suspects had been identified.
No one was arrested as of writing this article.
