Developed Fever: Police Launch Hunt For “Karen” That Coughed On 1-Year-Old Baby

The police are currently looking for a woman that coughed on a baby in a stroller at a restaurant, after a heated verbal altercation with the mother of the child.

The 1-year-old baby currently has a fever.

The incident happened on June 12, 2020, at around 5:25 pm at Yogurtland establishment in San Jose, California.

The suspect has been identified as a white female in her 60s.

She was standing in line in front of a mother and her 1-year-old child, who was in a stroller when she allegedly became upset with the mother for not practicing social distancing.

Sergeant Enrique Garcia, the spokesperson of the San Jose Police Department, said:

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect was upset the female was not maintaining proper social distancing, so the suspect removed her face mask, got close to the baby’s face, and coughed 2-3 times.

The mother of the 1-year-old boy said that the incident was race-related.

Mireya Mora, the mother of the 1-year-old boy, said:

I believe this woman may be racist because the family in front of her is white. Me and my grandma are Hispanic and she started telling me about my distance and harassing me and my son once I started speaking Spanish to my grandma.

Mora said that her son had developed a fever after the coughing incident.

She hopes that her son does not contract the coronavirus.

Mora said:

If he were to get sick, it’s just, I can’t even imagine.

The San Jose Police Department is currently asking for the help of the public so they could identify the female suspect that is in the video.

The woman was last seen wearing a gray bandana, glasses, long sleeve shirt with gray vertical lines, white dress pants, and patterned tennis shoes.

She is in her 60s and is a white woman with a medium body build.

Mireya Mora added:

Coughing on someone’s face. She did it on purpose it’s not like she did it on accident, oh cough, cough – no she purposely coughed on my son’s face … It happened so quick I was in shock. She got close, she took off her mask, and she coughed three times super hard on my son’s face.

As of writing this article, the suspect in the video is on the run.
