Dying 4-year-old boy with cancer tells mum that he will wait for her in heaven

Nolan Scully, a 4-year-old boy that was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma a type of cancer when he was just 3-years-old.

When Nolan was struggling during his last days, he told his mother that he would wait for her in Heaven.

The 4-year-old boy was aware that he would pass away soon.

Since Nolan was a kid, he wanted to become a police officer and serve the community just like what his dad did, who was once a firefighter.

Jonathan, the father of Nolan, quit his job as a firefighter after finding out that his son has been diagnosed with cancer.

And when Nolan was in the hospital, the Police Commissioner granted his wish and made him swear as an honorary police officer.

He was then known as Sergeant Rollin’ Nolan.

Before Nolan passed away, he and his mum had a conversation, the conversation between the two was shared by his mum.

Here is the convo:

Ruth, the mother of Nolan: Poot, it hurts to breathe, doesn’t it?

Nolan: Weeeelll…. yeah.

Ruth: You’re in a lot of pain aren’t you baby?

Nolan: (looking down) Yeah.

Ruth: Poot, this Cancer stuff sucks. You don’t have to fight anymore.

Nolan: (Pure Happiness) I DONT??!! But I will for you Mommy!!

Ruth:: No Poot!! Is that what you have been doing?? Fighting for Mommy??

Nolan: Well DUH!!

Ruth: Nolan Ray, what is Mommy’s job?

Ruth: To keep me SAFE! (With a big grin)

Ruth: Honey … I can’t do that anymore here. The only way I can keep you safe is in Heaven. (My heart shattering)

Nolan: Sooooo I’ll just go to Heaven and play until you get there! You’ll come, right?

Ruth: Absolutely!! You can’t get rid of Mommy that easy!!

Nolan: Thank you Mommy!!! I’ll go play with Hunter and Brylee and Henry!!”

Nolan Scully lost his battle with cancer 2 years ago in February, he was only 4-years-old. Ruth, the mother of Nolan, wrote a tribute for him on Facebook. The post was made so that everyone could be aware of kids having cancer and the mess it creates for the families of those kids.
