Birmingham, Alabama: The first surviving black sextuplets of America have graduated all together from high-school last week.

Chris and Diamond Harris, the parents of the sextuplets, are the happiest parents on our planet right now and during their kids’ graduation, they emitted the loudest cheers.

However, the parents are also sad, considering the fact that it is going to be quiet.

Diamond Harris, who works as a nurse, said:

On the morning of the ceremony, I sat in bed looking at their baby pictures and felt depressed. It’s going to be too quiet.

On the brighter side though, the parents won’t have to worry about the laundry now.

All 6 kids will continue their education in Alabama, USA.

Kiera, their girl, is heading off to Lawson State Community so she could study cosmetology.

Kaylynne, the outspoken sister, will be attending the Alabama State University for its physical therapy program.

Kaleb and Kieran will be attending the Alabama A&M. Kaleb, who is known as a father type, is planning to major in computer science, Kieran, who is known as the thoughtful one, is interested in Art.

Kobe, who is also known as Mr. Smooth, wants to play college baseball and will join Kaylynne at Alabama State University.

Kyle, who is 6 foot 4 inches and is known as the gentle giant, has autism and will be doing a life skills program.

Chris, the father of the 6 kids, works as a grade school teacher, and during an interview with Today Parents, he said:

These kids have been my life for almost 18 years. They have been my reason. I keep reminding myself it’s just going to be different, but everything will be OK.

Chris also pointed out that their family has adapted to a lot of things.

He and Diamond got divorced in 2012, luckily the 2 remarried.

Chris explained:

Chris and I, we’re best friends. I love his wife too. I talk to her all the time. I told Chris the other day, ‘She’s my wife.’ They get the best of both of their parents now.

The sextuplets, who could once fit in the palm of Chris’s hand, will be celebrating their 18th birthday next month.

In August this year, the sextuplets will start to pack to head to their new homes.

Talking about what he will miss the most, Chris said that he will miss doing projects with the kids and Monday pizza nights.

Diamond will miss listening to the teens chattering in their special multiple languages.

Diamond said:

No one else can understand what they’re saying. I’ll be like ’Slow down, enunciate. And they look at me all confused, like ‘how did you not catch that?’ It’s been that way since they started talking.
