Two scuba divers got to swim with a human-sized jellyfish in a recent dive off the southwestern coast of England.
The creature was caught in a video with Lizzie Daly, a wildlife broadcaster, who was exploring the waters in the southwestern coast of the country.
Lizzie was exploring the sea while celebrating the “Wild Ocean Week”.
When Lizzie got back on land, she was smiling and was really happy with the once in a life-time experience.
In a video she shared, Lizzie said, “I have never seen any jellyfish that big. It was the size of my body and it was the best thing I’ve ever done!”
Abbott, the other diver, said, “My first reaction was that I’ve never seen a jellyfish that size in my life,”
The Barrel Jellyfish are common in the seas that are located near England, they are also found on shores in the country during summer.
The species are capable of growing to up to 3 feet, the Jellyfish that Daly and Abbott encountered in the sea was the size of Daly.
Luckily, Daly was not scared when she swam next to the gigantic jellyfish.
Daly hopes that the video she shared would inspire other people to explore and experience the ocean.
