Police Report: On Monday, a man was arrested in Ghaziabad for raping his 5-year-old daughter and killing her afterwards.
The dead body of the 5-year-old was recovered from a sugarcane field in Sarana Village.
The minor was kidnapped from Indira Puri Colony in Murad Nagar while she was playing near their house.
Neeraj Kumar Jadoun, the Superintendent of Police said that Mahajan, the cousin of the minor kidnapped the minor and raped her before killing the minor.
SP Jadoun added that the parents of the minor were not in their home when the incident happened.
When the parents got back, they asked their 2 other children about their sister. After finding out she was missing, an FIR was registered by Namskar, the father of the 5-year-old girl.
When the police were conducting their investigation, they recovered CCTV footages from the area which helped them conclude that Mahajan was the primary suspect in the crime.
After the police arrested Mahajan, he confessed the crime to the police.
Mahajan will be facing charges from the Indian Panel Code in sections 364, 376, 302 and relevant sections of the POCSO Act.
