Out of the 15 hottest cities in the world, 8 were in India

In 24 hours, 8 of the hottest cities in the world belonged to India and others belonged to Pakistan, a neighboring country of India.

According to India’s Meteorological Department, Churu, a city in Rajasthan, recorded the hottest temperature on Monday, which was 48.9 degrees celsius.

The government of Rajasthan has sent out heat wave warnings, which required emergency wards and government hospitals to bring in extra Air Conditioners, Coolers, and Medicines.

The government of Rajasthan is also pouring out water on the roads in Churu, this is being done so the roads will not melt, said Ramratan Sonkariya, additional district magistrate for Churu.

On June 2, 2019, a farmer lost his life after getting a heat stroke, this happened in Sikar, Rajasthan.

The temperature in New Delhi on June 2 was 44.6 degrees Celsius.

Zomato, a food delivery app, asked whoever ordered through their application to ask the delivery guy if he/she would like to drink a glass of cold water.

The governments of Madhya Pradesh and Western Rajasthan also issued heat wave warnings.

It is expected that the temperature will come down after June 6th, this is because the monsoon that brings down the heat will start from this date.

According to Skymet, a private weather forecaster, the pre-monsoon season, a season that ended on 31 May, was one of the driest seasons recorded in the last 65 years.

The average rain recordings are 131.5 mm per season, but this year, the pre-monsoon season only recorded 99mm.
