Rajasthan Government orders FIR against SHO in Alwar Gang-Rape Case

The government of Rajasthan has released an order to register an FIR against the SHO of the Thanagazi Police Department for not filing a complaint of a woman who was gang-raped in front of her husband on April 26.

The statement that was released by the government of Rajasthan also said that Circle Officer Jagmohan Sharma will also be transferred out of the Alwar District.

The government also directed the state police to initiate action against those police officers who were involved in the rape case.

Rajeev Swarup, the Additional Chief Secretary, asked the DGP of Rajasthan to file a case against SHO (Station House Officer) Sardar Singh under the Indian Penal Code Section 166 A(C) and the SC/ST act.

SHO Sardar Singh is currently suspended for not filing a complaint on time.

The statement also mentioned that Sub Inspector Babulal, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Roop Narayan, constables Mahesh, Ghanshyam Singh, Brijendra, Rajendra and Ramratan will also be transferred.

The statement added that other officers of the Thanagaji Police Station are going to be transferred.

A charge sheet has also been registered against CO Jagmohan, Police Inspector Sardar Singh, and constable Mahesh.

SI Babulal, ASI Roop Narayan and constables Ghanshyam, Brijendra, Rajendra and Ramratan will be facing disciplinary actions from the state government.

The suspension, transfers, and the disciplinary actions for the police officers were done after a woman was gang-raped in front of her husband on April 26.

The police officers did not register her complaint on time and the official FIR for the gang-rape case was registered on May 2.
