A mother was left in tears after her son told her that he was getting constantly bullied over his dwarfism and ended up asking for a rope so he could end his life.
Yarraka Bayles, the mother of the boy, shared the horrible begging of her son on social media to tell the world how bullying affects the mental health of each kid.
Yarraka said she picked up Quaden, her son, from school, but what happened next just blew her away.
She said Quaden told her to give him a rope so he could kill himself.
The boy said, “I just want to stab myself in the heart… I want someone to kill me.”
While sharing the video, the mother said, “I’ve just picked up my son from school, witnessed a bullying episode, rang the principal and I want people to know – parents, educators, teachers – this is the effect that bullying has.”
Yarraka said she also saw a pupil patting the head of her son and making fun of his height when she arrived to pick him up.
Yarraka talked about how the acts of other pupils have affected his family.
The mother said, “I want people to know how much it is hurting us as a family. I’ve got a son that is suicidal [after] anything that happens at school or in public, which is almost every time we’re in public.”
The post that Yarraka made got the support of a lot of people.
Rugby players from the side Indigenous All Starts invited Quaden to watch onto the pitch with them when they will be facing the Maori Kiwis of New Zealand at the CBUS Super Stadium on the Gold Coast on Saturday.
Yarraka said Latrell Mitchell, a player with the South Sydney Rabbitohs’, a player that Quaden has met in the past, also sent a message.
