Arya Permana, who was once known as the World’s Fattest Kid at the age of 10, has managed to lose 110 kilograms and is now being referred to as the symbol of all.

With the help of Ade Rai, his personal trainer, Arya managed to go from 191 kilograms to 89 kilograms.

His new lifestyle has allowed him to become an inspiration to people who are trying to lose weight.

Ade Rai said he made a specialized routine, which consisted of hardcore exercises and a healthy diet, for Arya.

During an interview with Asia One, Ade Rai said, “According to Arya’s parents, initially he weighed 85kg before his appetite increased extremely. He is now losing weight without losing his spirit. This is a rare quality, especially among adults.”

He added, “Arya is now a symbol of hope. People now say: ‘Even Arya can lose weight, so why can’t I?’”

Thanks to strict training, a healthy diet, and successful medical treatment, Arya managed to lose a lot of weight.

Ade Somantri, the father of the young boy, said the medical treatment, which included a bariatric surgery, regular exercise, and healthy diet, the kid who was once known as the fattest in the world is now just like any other kid.

Ade added, “Aria managed to lose weight through bariatric surgery, diet, and regular exercise. For me, they are all good and supportive of each other.”

Arya, who is from West Java, Indonesia, will be undergoing surgery later this year so his excess skin, which he got from losing 110 kilograms, can be removed.

When Arya was 10, he used to weigh as much as six boys and was spending most of his time lying down inside his house.

According to the parents of the young boy, he was unable to spend more than 5 minutes on his feet.

After his life-changing surgery, Arya can play football and other sports with his friends.

He also walks to his school every single day.

In 2017, he became the youngest person ever to have a lengthy gastric sleeve operation.

Before that, Arya was officially known as the heaviest boy on planet earth. The title was given by the Indonesian version of the Guinness World Records, the Indonesian World Records Museum.

After the surgery, Arya said he saw a dramatic drop in his overall body mass, thanks to bariatric surgery.

During an interview with ABC News, he said, “They made my stomach smaller, I lost my appetite, now even six spoons [of food] already makes me full. They prevent me from consuming sweet food and drinks, particularly soft drinks.”

He added, “They ask me to eat more fruits and do exercise regularly.”

The story of the young boy is now being shared on social media with hopes of inspiring other people to get up and do the same.
