The police have arrested 5 people, which include the brother, mother, and husband of the teenager. The girl claims she was raped by her own brother and was forced into prostitution by her own mother.
During a press release, the Mankhurd Police said that the mother of the girl forced her to become a prostitute.
The mother of the girl also forced her to marry a man in April 2018.
The teenager said her husband used to abuse her and rape her.
When the teen went back to the house of her mother, her own mother forced her to become a prostitute and brought her to a sex trafficker.
The teenager is a resident of Mankhurd, East Mumbai.
The teen also claims she was forced to have sexual relationships with a 60-year-old man in exchange for money.
The teen said she was also raped by the husband of the sex trafficker.
The girl said she asked help from her brother, but instead of helping her, her own brother raped her and threatened to kill her with a sword.
The police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act, and the Child Marriage Prevention Act.
The police are currently trying to arrest the 60-year-old man who had sexual relationships with the teenager.
The police are also trying to see if there is anyone else involved in the said crime.
