A terrorist who is a member of Jaish-e-Mohammed was killed on June 8, 2019, during an encounter in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir.

After receiving Intel inputs about the terrorist, the police launched a search operation in forests of Nowgam, which is located in Dooru South Kashmir.

When the police reached their hideout, the terrorists shot fires at them.

During the shootout, the police managed to kill one terrorist, the body of the terrorist was brought back.

The terrorist has been identified as Iqbal Ahmad, who was a known affiliated person with the Jaish-e-Mohammed.

The terrorist is known in planning and executing a number of terrorist attacks in the area.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the crime scene.
