Texas: 20 Killed And 26 Injured In El Paso Walmart Shooting

El Paso Shooting: Authorities confirmed that 20 people were killed and 26 were injured after a 21-year-old gunman went on a killing spree inside a Walmart located in El Paso, the border town.

The 21-year-old shooter has been identified as Patrick Crusius, he was also caught in the CCTV that was installed at the entrance of the Walmart.

The spokesman of the Police, Sergeant Robert Gomez, said that Patrick was arrested without any fatality or injuries.

Sergeant Gomez said that the shooting happened when there were around 3,000 people inside Walmart.

The Del Sol Medical Center treated 11 of the 26 people that sustained injuries in the shooting. In an interview with CBS News, the Medical Center said that 7 people are in a critical condition and 2 are in a stable condition.

In the 20 killed, 3 were Mexicans, confirmed Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the President of Mexico.

It is believed that the gunman used an AK-47 in the shooting.

Alden Hall, a former military man, was inside Walmart when the shooting happened, he said he saw the shooter entering and was wearing a black T-shirt with black glasses, and had “Military-Grade” ear protection.

President Donald Trump tweeted about the incident, he said, “Terrible shootings in ElPaso, Texas. Reports are very bad, many killed. Working with State and Local authorities, and Law Enforcement. Spoke to Governor to pledge total support of Federal Government. God be with you all!”

Vanessa, an eyewitness, said that she heard sounds that were similar to “loud fireworks” when she pulled into the car park of the Walmart.

During an interview with Fox News, she said, “You could hear the pops, one right after another and at that point, as I was turning, I saw a lady, seemed she was coming out of Walmart, headed to her car. She had her groceries in her cart and I saw her just fall.”

She added, “He was wearing a black T-shirt, camo-colored pants. He was wearing something to cover his ears, like headphones, really thick ones. He was carrying a dark rifle and he was just pointing at people and just shooting and, yeah, the last thing I saw, he shot somebody that was in a corner.”

Police officials are now working to confirm if the incident was a racist or an anti-immigrant crime.

The manifesto that was written by the shooter includes the “Haspanic Invasion” of Texas.

The manifesto also mentioned that he was expected to be killed in the attack.
