A law firm in the United States of America has announced that they are going to offer divorce to a couple who want to get divorce for valentine’s day.

That’s amazing marketing right there.

The Powers Law Firm in Crossvile, Tennessee, is going to select one person that is seeking a divorce.

They are going to offer free legal services and court filing fees.

Talking about their offer, the firm said:

We recognize the terrible year have we all endured – the COVID-19 pandemic, a divided nation and economic hardship… We will be giving away a divorce to the winner of this contest on Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day, to some, is a reminder that they are trapped in a marriage that they cannot afford to get out of, or for some other reason.

Timothy Sexton, a lawyer at the Powers Law Firm in Crossville, was interviewed by CNN about the offer that they have.

They said during the interview:

There’s a lot of people that stay married just because they can’t afford it. Divorces are really expensive. Usually, the cost starts from $1,150, and not everyone has that kind of money to drop off the bat.

Anyone that wants to apply for the offer is required to email their stories explaining why they want a divorce from their partners by February 14.

The divorce should be agreed by both the parties and should involve little or no child custody issues.
