Vets Remove 32 Rubber Duck Toys And 2 Rubber Balls From Bulldog’s Belly

Doctors in Thailand removed 32 rubber duck toys from the belly of an American Bulldog in emergency surgery.

Nong Aom, the owner of the American Bulldog, brought Devil to a vet in Pattaya earlier this week after realizing that her pet dog digested half of the duck toys.

Nong Aom realized that Devil managed to reach a box that was full of 50 yellow ducks that she bought for the decoration of her swimming full.

When she saw the box, almost all of the yellow rubber duck toys were missing.

Devil spat out one half-chewed yellow toy duck and vomited 5 more afterward.

There were still some left in the stomach of Devil, and this is when Nong rushed Devil to a hospital nearby.

Muy, a veterinarian, did an x-ray on Devil to find out how many he still had in his stomach.

Muy saw that there were 32 ducks inside the belly of Devil.

Emergency surgery was carried out to remove the remaining toys in his stomach.

Reports suggest that the surgery took more than one hour to remove all the 32 ducks from the stomach of Devil.

The doctor also recovered 2 pieces of rubber balls and an undigested cow-skin snack during the operation.

During an interview, Nong Aom explained the incident.

Nong said, “Normally my dog will not eat everything. He knows what’s edible and what’s not. But this time he swallowed 38 of the ducks. There were 12 left and he would have ate the rest if he didn’t start to feel sick.”

She added, “It’s very lucky I found him and I live so close to the vets or he might not have survived.”

Nong said she bought the rubber duck toys for decoration.

Muy, the vet, said that it was the first time she removed this much of rubber toys from the belly of a single dog.

She said, “I have removed rubber toys from dogs’ bellies before but I have never encountered this many. It was unbelievable. Rubber ducks and other small toys are very dangerous. You have to be careful because dogs are very innocent and don’t know that toys are not meant to be eaten.”

Devil is fine and is recovering from the surgery.
