Reports suggest that the video was filmed when Adarsh was on a holiday with his family at the Nainital Hill Station, which is located in Uttarakhand, a northern state in India.
The video went viral on social media and it didn’t take time for people to criticize the acts of the father for his irresponsible and weird ways of calming the kid down.
The Titwala Police Station carried out an investigation after the video came in front of them.
Officials of the police station confirmed that Adarsh Upadhyay lives in Titwala, and is a trustee of the Greater Valley School, which is located near Titwala.
Adarsh shared a video after the video went viral, in the video he apologized for the said incident.
He said, “I have done a wrong thing. I didn’t understand the gravity of the act. I made a mistake, I know no one should behave like this with their child or teach them any such thing. I am sorry.”
According to a news article that was published by the Mumbai Mirror, Adarsh gave the gun to the toddler to calm his kid.
Adarsh added that the gun was locked when he gave it to the three-year-old kid. But, Adarsh said that even if the gun was locked, the actions he did were not right.
Balaji Pandhare, a police officer at the Titwala Police Station, said, “Upadhyay is a trustee of this school for the past four years. He has been living here for the past 10 years and has now apologized for his act.”
He added, “He explained that he had been trying to calm his crying child and hence gave him his gun to hold. The gun does not belong to the man, but to one of his family members. We have warned him of strict action if he repeats the act.”
