Emily, a female donkey that is living at an animal shelter home in Pune, India is now viral after a video clip of her singing was shared online.
The video was shared by the RESQ Charitable Trust.
They wrote: “After countless comments and messages demanding that we no longer hide her talent from the world, RESQ diva #EmilyTheDonkey finally decides to give her fans what they want 😀 Watch this video to hear India’s Singing Donkey, live in action!”
The animal shelter home in Pune where Emily lives in the home of cats, dogs, cows, and buffaloes.
Jessica Roberts, the head of the RESQ Charitable Trust, said, “Usually our videos have a lot of sick animals and animals being rescued, and it’s generally heavy and sad.”
She added, “So for a change, we decided to put this video of Emily singing, and the response from the public has been amazing.”
Emily was found abandoned on the streets of Pune 2 years ago, she had a prolapsed uterus and had infected wounds when they found her.
Jessica said when Emily was brought in by the staff of RESQ, Emily was “depressed and hostile”.
Jessica added Emily started to trust the staff as time passed by.
Emily now allows the staff to feed her and even asks for food by herself when she is hungry.
