The Eid al Adha 2019 or Qurbani 2019 which is known as the “Feast if the Sacrifice” or the “Festival of the Sacrifice” is the 2nd of the 2 Islamic Holidays that are celebrated all over the world and is considered more holier.

The Eid al-Adha is celebrated to honor the willingness of Ibrahim/Abraham to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience command.

But before Abraham could sacrifice his own son, God provided a lamb so Abraham could sacrifice it instead of his son.

On this day, an animal is sacrificed and is divided into 3 parts, the first part is given to the poor, the second part is kept for their own home, and the third one is given to the relatives.

On this day, Muslims go to a mosque and make a special effort to pray or listen to a sermon, many Muslims also wear new clothes on this day and visit their friends, family members, or other people.

During the Eid al-Adha, Muslims travel to the Mecca and other parts of Saudi Arabia so they could perform the Hajj Pilgrimage.
