Independence Day 2019 is going to be celebrated on August 15 (Thursday) to celebrate the country’s 73rd Independence Day. On this day in 1947, India attained freedom from the colonization of Britain on the country.
On this day, Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, waved the Indian flag at the Lahori Gate of Red Fort.
