Wildlife officials in Colorado, USA, filed charges against a woman that filmed herself feeding a deer inside her house.
It said that the woman who filmed the video lured the wild deer into her house and fed them.
The Colorado Parks and Wildlife shared a video, which showed a woman luring deer into her house in Evergreen and feeding them food that is supposed to be for humans.
Mark Lamb, the Area Wildlife Manager, released a statement about the incident.
Lamb said, “It is selfish and unethical to feed big-game.”
Lamb added, “You are going to end up unintentionally killing those animals and also putting yourself in harm’s way. If what you want is a pet or just to connect with an animal, choose a domestic breed that has evolved to live with people.”
The department said they have filed charges against the woman that was in the video for feeding big-game wildlife.
Feeding big-game wildlife is an offense in Colorado where the guilty could be fined $100 per incident.
The Colorado wildlife officials said charges were also filed against a man in the Burland Ranchettes Subdivision of Bailey. The man is accused of feeding a deer in his yard.
Lamb said during the release, “If you are training deer to come and stay in your back yard, you are asking mountain lions to be in your neighborhood as well.”
