Just after the grand 100-day run in the cinemas in Telugu states, Rajamouli’s Magnum opus movie Baahubali was premiered on Maa TV on the eve of Dussehra and received an overwhelming response from the audience. The channel has recorded TRP’s for this as it bought the movie’s satellite rights for record price. The channel also sold the airtime for advertisers for the record amount.

Bahubali Created History in TRP Ratings:

Bahubali Movie Satellite Rights assume control by Maa Tv with tremendous record sum 25 crores. This is the first Telugu film sold out for 25 crores rupees. The channel aired the blockbuster movie at 6.00 pm on Saturday. It has garnered very good response.

According to the sources, it is believed that the movie had grossed around 40 (estimated) TRP ratings beating Temper TRP ratings which is 26.5, the highest rating till now.

Boring Baahubali On Small Screen with Adds:

In order to get back its investment, the TV channel aired numerous ads at frequent intervals, causing huge discomfort to the viewers. The nearly 3-hour long film, which was aired at 6 pm, was completed around 11.30 pm, with nearly 2 hours gone into commercials. The channel has earned approximately 3.5 Crores with those adds.

As per the reports, collections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, reportedly affected of all new releases that are currently running in theatres including Varun Tej’s “Kanche” due to Baahubali screening on TV.
