Micromax Invests In Gaana, To Pre-Install Gaana App In their Smart Phones
India’s popular Smartphone maker Micromax, has invested in Gaana, the top online music broadcast and streaming service. The terms of financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Under the new partnership, the music streaming app Gaana will be available on all Micromax smartphones, enabling users to seamlessly enjoy music on a mobile. New Micromax smartphone users will also receive free trials to Gaana, allowing unlimited downloads with no advertisements in the songs.

After the trial, users can continue with Gaana to access over 10 million songs with ad supported streaming. Gaana is India’s top online music broadcast service with 20 million active users and over 30 million downloads.
In a statement, Satyan Gajwani, CEO of Times Internet, said that “Gaana is becoming a household brand for music, and in partnership with Micromax, we will strengthen our footprint, helping us reach our goal of 100 million Indian users, listening to millions of songs via Gaana.”

Micromax has also partnered with Ixigo, MiMedia, and others, to develop strategically relevant deployments of software that leverage its consumer footprint.
