National Defence Academy & Naval Academy (NDA/NA) Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice a year twice, and this year, UPSC NDA/NA (II) exam is held successfully today on 27th Sep, 2015 various test centers in the country. Lots of candidates who want to pursue their career in Army, Navy and Air force wings of the NDA for the 136th Course, and for the 98th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 02 July, 2016 had applied for this examination and appeared for the exam today. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India’s central agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, Naval Academy Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, etc.

The written exam of UPSC NDA/NA consists of two papers (of objective type). Apart from the written test, there is yet another SSB Test/Interview session which candidates need to crack. The candidates Joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years B.Tech Course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies

UPSC NDA II Exam Paper Pattern:

• Paper 1: Mathematics Paper contains 120 multiple choice questions with a time duration of 2 ½ hours for 300 marks. Questions are broadly asked on algebra, matrices and determinants, trigonometry, an analytical geometry of two and three dimensions, differential calculus, integral calculus and differential equations, statistics, and probability.
• Paper 2: General Ability Test paper contains 150 multiple choice questions with a time duration of 2 ½ hours for 600 marks. Questions are asked on (a) English, (b) General Knowledge (physics, chemistry, general science, social studies, geography, and current events).
• The total marks allotted for this exam is 900.
• The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only.
• There will be negative marking for wrong answers marked by the candidate.
