Kamal Haasan is undoubtedly India’s one of the most versatile actors and political critic is always been in news for some or other reason. He is often cornered by the conservative Tamil groups for his various liberating activities. It might be the roles he plays in movies or the opinions he has on some politicians of the state, there is always something about him that dances in the center of any debate.
He recently joined India’s most awaited reality show, played the host. However, it seems that the fate has something odd against Haasan as the Tamil version’s peoples favorite Oviya made a suicide attempt.
Starting with the threats on filing a defamation case against Haasan, things went too far. While the Telugu version has its simple beginning, the Tamil version has already stuck in controversies. With the conversation that happened between the contestant and the host in the shown, this fiasco has started.
Now it reached its verge with Oviya’s deed. In addition to this, the recent task given to the contestants on behaving like mentally-challenged people has attracted huge criticism, even Haasan obligated it.
He later added that he was not part of planning day-to-day activities inside the Bigg House house during the weekdays. He added that still he felt responsible for the blunder and thought he owed an apology to the viewers.
“The task that made fun of mentally challenged people was not in a good taste. And I’m actually angry about it. We all have social responsibilities, you may ask me, why have you not acted a mentally disturbed person in your films? That type of character in my films will not be used for comic relief. He will be the protagonist,” said the 62-Year-Old actor.
“I request them (Bigg Boss team) not to repeat such activities on the show hereafter. If it happens again, this show is not important to me,” he added.
Though the criticism is at its peaks, so the rating is, having 3.6 crores viewers throughout the state, this is currently most viewed reality show in Tamil Nadu.
