United States distribution rights of “Srimanthudu” have been acquired by Sunil Pantra, Vamsi Karumanchi, Kiran Duggirala and Shiva Polavarapu who have released the movie in over 150 screens on the foreign territory. Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu movie was released in over 150 screens in the United States which is more than the past movie is the star while the premier shows have been featured in over 117 locations in the country.

Mahesh Babu Starrer Srimanthudu Beats Baahubali:

A large scale of advance booking was witnessed for the Mahesh Babu and Sruti Hasan starred Srimanthudu movie for its premier shows and initial day shows worldwide. Tollywood confidential sources have been claiming that premier show tickets of Mahesh Babu Srimanthudu movie were sold for a record price of $15,000 which is more than that of Baahubali. SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Prabhas, Rana and Anushka starrer “Baahubali” movie premier ticket were sold for a maximum price of Rs 10,000. Hence in this aspect Mahesh Babu Srimanthudu film beats Baahubali movie.

Superstar Mahesh Babu Srimanthudu’s pre-release business raised speculations thrilling the distributors of the film that it would beat the premiere show record of “Baahubali – the Beginning”. Unfortunately, this couldn’t happen Srimanthudu did a business of $500K in premiere shows in the US.

Sources of Tollywood claim that the superstar Mahesh Babu is believed to have larger fan base than Power Star Pawan Kalyan in India and United States and used to hold maximum hit collections records. Although after the release of Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s “Attarintiki Daredi” all the records of  Mahesh Babu have been erased, creating new records with the premiere show collections of $345,000 US.

Srimanthudu had blockbuster openings after the positive overwhelming response which aroused after the premier shows. Tollywood box office business trade analysts have been confirming that superstar Mahesh Babu movie is going to do remarkable business worldwide.

Srimanthudu raised around 30 crores globally on its first day. On the second day (Saturday) the movie raised around 34 crores. The third day being Sunday, the film earned around 36 crores globally which is more than it’s 1st day collections.
