Jermaine Lamar Cole, who is also known as J. Cole, was born on 28th January 1985, he is an American, record producer, rapper, songwriter, and singer. He was born in a military base in Germany, but the rapper was raised in North Carolina. He gained recognition after releasing his debut album, “The Come Up” in 2007.

KOD, his fifth rap album was released in April 2018, the album debuted at number one in the billboard 200. This album was his fifth album to reach the number one on the Billboard chart.

J Cole is also a producer, he can also play the piano. The producer has produced singles for Kendrick Lamar and Janet Jackson, he also handles his own projects.

Cole also runs his own record label, Dreamville Records and a non-profit organization called the Dreamville Foundation.

When Cole composed “The Come Up”, he decided to run his own record label with Ibrahim Hamad. The label is distributed by the Interscope Records.

Dreamville is also the house of artists like Omen, Cozz, Lute, Ari Lennox, Bas, J.I.D, Earth Gang, and J Cole.

The record is also the home of producers such as elite, Cedric Brown, Meez, and Ron Gilmore.
