The Gandhi Jayanti 2019 is an event that is celebrated everywhere in India to honor and celebrate the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who was born on October 2, 1869. Schools use this day for painting and essay competitions. This is done to promote the non-violent way of living, and to honor the efforts of Gandhi Ji in helping India attaining freedom.

The favorite song of Gandhi Ji, which is “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” is played all over in India on the Gandhi Jayanti 2019.

His statues all over in India are decorated with flowers and poojas are done on them. On this day, people avoid eating meat or drinking alcohol.
