Hair fall is one of the most common problems we face today. What is also common is our lack of knowledge about the beautiful and straight forward ways through which we can treat the condition.

Hair fall is common in both men and women. While genes play a significant role, there are a lot of other factors that cause hair loss.

Egg Mask

The egg has several ingredients that can prevent or control hair fall. It is a rich source of sulfur and phosphorous, selenium, iodine, zinc and protein. All these promote hair growth.

Steps:

  • Take the white of one egg and mix in a teaspoon of olive oil.
  • Beat to give a paste-like consistency and apply to the entire scalp and hair.
  • Keep it on for about 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water and a mild shampoo.

Coconut

This ingredient is useful for your hair. Not only does it promote hair growth, but also conditions it. It has essential fats, minerals, and proteins which reduce hair breakage and is also rich in potassium and iron. You can use coconut oil or milk to prevent hair fall.

Steps:

  • Warm a bit of coconut oil and massage it from your hair root to tip.
  • Wash after one hour.
  • Or, grate a coconut and squeeze out its milk by mixing in a little water.
  • Apply it on the area where you notice thinning or balding.
  • Let it stay overnight and wash off the next morning.

Aloe Vera

It is the traditional way of using aloe vera for treating hair growth. Repeat the process thrice a week, ideally, in the morning after you have taken a head bath.

  • Extract the pulp content from the leaf or stalk and rub into your hair.
  • Ensure your hair is already washed before you do this.
  • Massage the pulp into your scalp in circular motions.
  • Leave it on for about 15 minutes, and then rinse with cold water.

Greek Yogurt

Ideally, you should apply this pack once a week. But if you have dry hair, then you can use this twice a week.

  • Take the two tablespoons of Greek yogurt in a bowl. To this, add honey and the lemon juice.
  • Mix the ingredients thoroughly and make a paste.
  • Using a hair dye brush, apply this pack to the scalp and hair roots.
  • Leave it on for about 30 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly with cold water.

Onion Juice

You can apply onion juice to your hair once in a week.

  • Grate the onion and extract its juice.
  • Dip the cotton ball into the juice, and apply it directly to your scalp, ensuring the hair strands are covered from the root to the tip.
  • Leave it on for about 30 minutes, after which you can rinse with cold water.
  • Shampoo as usual.

Lemon Juice

In the morning, after a bath. Do this once or twice a week.

  • Cut each of the lemons and prepare a cup of lemon juice.
  • Strain the lemon juice into a bowl using a muslin cloth, and mix it with the warm water.
  • After you have washed your hair in the bath, gently pour the mixture over your scalp, massaging it into your scalp at the same time.
  • Leave the mixture on your hair for about five minutes, and then wash it off with lukewarm water.
