Guru Gobind Singh Ji, born as Gobind Rai, was the 10th guru of the Sikh religion. Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born on January 5, 1666. He became the 10th leader of the Sikh Religion after his father, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, was beheaded for refusing to convert to Islam. Guru Gobind Singh Ji was formally declared as the leader of the religion when he was just 9 years old. He became the 10th guru of the religion.

His 4 sons, who are called as the Chaar Sahibzaade, Ajit Singh, Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh, and Fateh Singh were killed during battles and by being executed by the Mughal army.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji is also the founding person of the Khalsa, a Sikh warrior community, which was established in 1600. He also introduced the 5 Ks, the 5 articles of faith that the followers of the Sikh religion have to wear at all times.

Guru Gobin Singh Ji is also credited with the Dasam Granth, whose hymns are part of the sacred Sikh prayers and the rituals of the religion. He also helped finalize the Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the eternal Guru of the Sikh Religion. The Guru Granth Sahib Ji has all the answers a follower needs throughout the journey of life.
