On July 11, 2020, we will be celebrating World Population Day, which is observed and celebrated all over the world to seek attention on the urgency and importance of population issues. It was established by the then-Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989.
The World Population Day was suggested by Dr. K.C.Zachariah in which population reaches Five Billion when he worked as Sr. Demographer at World Bank.
By the year 2030, the global population is expected to reach 8.6 billion, by 2050 those numbers are expected to reach 9.8 billion, and by 2100, the population will be at 11.2 billion.
According to the United Nation’s World Population reports, the population of the world is increasing by 83 million people each year.
This year, authorities aim to inform people about how to properly plan your family in the future.
