Parent’s Day is observed on different days throughout the world, in South Korea, they celebrate it on May 8 and in the USA they celebrate it on the fourth Sunday of July. But the United Nations proclaimed June 1 as the “Global Day of Parents” to appreciate the commitment and love of parents towards their kids.

As we all know, our parents love us and are willing to do almost anything for our happiness, that’s what they do, they live for us. They work all day long just to provide us with everything we need. Honoring parents is really important, it is like “Hard work pays off” once we show our appreciation to them. A simple thank you and a warm hug with a kiss can also do the job, but do this every day.

In 2012, the United Nation’s General Assembly proclaimed June 1 of every year as the Global Day of Parents.

On this day we can treat our parents and surprise them with something. This day was proclaimed so kids can recognize the role of parents in our society.

The organization also encourages kids to celebrate it every day.
