Lingaa is an upcoming Tamil action thriller film being directed by K. S. Ravikumar, who also scripted the film in collaboration with the film’s dialgoue writer, Pon Kumaran. The film stars Rajinikanth plays dual role, Jagapati Babu, Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles. Music is being composed by A. R. Rahman while cinematography is being headed by R. Rathnavelu.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s most awaited movie of the year 2014, Lingaa is ready for the censors and the board is to complete the formalities on Monday [Nov 24]. Lingaa is special movie for Superstar fans and are expecting a Thalaivar film from KS Ravikumar after 15 years of their Padaiyappa release. AR Rahman’s music adds the right feel highing up the enthusiasm.
Sonakshi Sinha is making her southern debut with Lingaa, Anushka, Santhanam, Karunakaran are also part of film’s cast. Visuals by cameraman Rathnavelu are touted to be one of the highlights of Lingaa along with Lee Whittaker’s stunts.
A Rockline Venkatesh production film, Lingaa will be a Rajini’s Birthday feast to his fan. The film’s release date has been announced as December 12th to coincide with Rajinikanth’s birthday.

Superstar Rajni Plays Dual Role in Linga:
While she was expressing her happiness, she also revealed the story-line of this movie a bit. She said this way- “The story, we hear, is spread across two generations and Sonakshi will be a part of the former one. She says, “I am part of the 1940’s generation and I play a girl who helps Rajinikanth. The look and the setting are completely new and I am quite kicked about my part.” We have to wait and see how will this movie is going to be, as Rajini is going to reprise in two roles.
