The sudden and unexpected demise of music director Chakri has left behind unsolved mysteries and unending disputes within his own family compound. It is already known that Chakri’s wife Sravani since the death of her husband has been approaching judiciary and police seriously alleging that their in-laws were harassing her for money and assets left by Chakri. A day after Chakri’s wife lodged cases against her in-laws blaming them for the late music director’s death, now it’s the turn of Chakri’s family members. Retaliating Sravani’s allegations, Chakri’s mother Vidyavathi, brother Mahath and others lodged a counter case against Sravani on Sunday in Jubilee Hills police station. Vidyavati lodged case against Chakri’s wife Sravani, and her parents Surekha, Madhusudhan Rao and her brother Bharadwaj alleging that they “poisoned” Chakri and caused his death.

Vidyavati claimed that Sravani had called her on Chakri’s death day and admitted that “she herself killed her husband”. They appealed to police to do a detailed probe in the death of late music director. Chakri’s family members alleged, “In order to escape from the police cases, she herself came out first and tried to frame us as accused. She is the cause for Chakri’s death.”

Meanwhile, Jubilee Hills police caught in big dilemma as the both parties crossing swords after 29 days after the death of late music director. Since there wasn’t no evidence and not even post-mortem was done whether his death was natural or he was poisoned, they seem to have hit roadblock. But one thing is sure, all the rift within Chakri’s family is certainly hurting Chakri’s fans.

Chakri’s brother Mahith Narayana told journalists that Sravani had objected to post-mortem of the body.”If Sravani had allowed post-mortem of Chakri’s dead body, every one would have known the truth,” he said, adding she had not agreed for it even though the doctors had said it was a medical-legal case.

“Their role also should be probed,” she demanded in her complaint. Jubilee Hills police however said there is no question of registering the case as the body was cremated.

Reasons for Music Director Chakri Death:
“We can’t conduct post-mortem now as he was cremated. There may not be any case on their complaint now unless the doctors raise any suspicions on his death, ” said a police connected with the case.
“We have made a general diary (GD) entry of the complaint and it will be forwarded to the court for legal opinion,” Jubilee Hills inspector S Venkat Reddy said.
A day after police booked a case against Chakri’s mother and eight others for allegedly harassing his widow Sravani, the family has filed a counter complaint with Jubilee Hills police alleging that the music director was poisoned to death by his wife and her family members.
