New study claims having 25 cups of Coffee every day is safe for your heart

We know this may sound impossible, but if you drink 25 cups of coffee every day, then it is assured that it won’t affect your heart, that’s what scientists are saying.

Some studies that were conducted before suggested that by drinking excess amounts of coffee every day, it can stiffen your arteries that can put pressure on your heart and can increase the risk of getting a heart attack or a stroke.

But that is not the case this time.

A new study that was conducted on more than 8,000 people in the UK found that by drinking 5 cups of coffee every day and even 25, is no worse for your arteries than drinking less than one cup of coffee every day.

The study, which is partially funded by the BHF (British Heart Foundation), is being presented at the British Cardiovascular Society Conference in Manchester.

For the study, experts from the QMUL (Queen Mary University of London) divided 8412 people into three groups.

In the first group were those people who drink less than one cup of coffee every day.

In the second group were those people who are capable of drinking 1 to 3 cups of coffee every day.

And in the third group were those people who could drink more than 3 cups of coffee every day.

During the study, some people even drank 25 cups of coffee a day.

The average number of coffee cups for people in this group was only 5 cups per day.

So the researchers in the study found out that those who drank 25 cups of coffee every day were no more likely to have stiffening arteries than those people who were drinking less than one cup of coffee every day.

The 8412 participants of the study underwent MRI heart scans and infrared pulse wave tests.

The results were the same, even after considering their age, weight, and smoking status.

Dr. Kennet Fung, from the Queen Mary University of London, said, “Despite the huge popularity of coffee worldwide, different reports could put people off from enjoying it.”

The doctor added, “Whilst we can’t prove a causal link in this study, our research indicates coffee isn’t as bad for the arteries as previous studies would suggest.”

Professor Metin Avkiran, the associate medical director at the British Heart Foundation, said that the study “rules out one of the potential detrimental effects of coffee on our arteries”.
