Officer, the reunion of Nagarjuna and Ram Gopal Verma which we had high hopes from unfortunately proved to be a disappointment.
The movie is filled with action, blood, and a lot of killing, guns and that’s the problem with the film.
Apart from the unimaginable logic of action, the movie has nothing else, when it comes to story it lacks building up a character and feels like all is there in the film is killing.
Times of India has given 1.5/5 stars to the officer.
As for the story of the movie its revolves around an officer who is very honest. At first, there is a character named Narayan Pasari who is regarded as top cop of the entire Mumbai and is responsible for bringing down the mafia. However he faces some charges, and Sivaji Rao (Nagarjuna) is appointed to investigate, who soon realised that there is something wrong and something is going on which a lot of people don’t recognise and sooner he proved Narayan Pasari guilty, and sooner is followed by the killing of witnesses.
Which later causes a clash between Shivaji Rao and Narayana Pasari and taking down of Mumbai mafia, and there is nothing more to the story all there is to watch beyond this is overly done action scenes and guns, guns and guns.
Somehow director and writer of the movie though just adding a ridiculous amount of fight scenes in the film will make the movie action thriller and thriller part is watching overly done action scenes.
But unfortunately, in reality, it made the movie boring and highly predictable and whatever sideline story was put into the film was again overly done and felt out of place and felt like forced upon the film.
This was a reunion of the Nagarjuna and Ram Gopal Verma after a very long time, so people had high hope for the movie, but unfortunately it came as a disappointment as film failed to create a catchy story and dived into misplaced storyline and characters and overly done action scenes and a lot of senseless action scenes.
We won’t advise watching this movie unless you are a die-hard fan of Nagarjuna.
