South Africa Cricket Team Skips Net Practice To Learn Hindi To Understand Dhoni’s Advice To Bowlers

It has been completely one-sided series for the No.1 ODI team in the world with no fight from the opposition. After losing the Test series 2-1 for South Africa, team India got back into their fighting zone to give their best and clinch the 6-match ODI series 5-1 against the Proteas.

Virat broke many records as a player and also a captain. He scored a staggering 558 runs in the series victory and is now ready to scale greater heights. They have been sensational all through the series and the spin twin Kuldeep Yadava and Yuzvendra Chahal have been one of the success stories.

Even the No.1 ODI team continued its dominance in the 1st T20 match at Wanderers. Team India scored 203 as the target for the hosts. Though the Proteas looked confident and played some aggressive cricket in the middle, the Indian bowlers were successful in restricting them to do so.

Bhuvi went on to achieve his career-best T20I figures by taking 5 wickets and leading his team to win the match.

Not forgetting MS Dhoni, who always guides the young spin bowlers and give them valuable tips how to bowl according to the batsman’s weakness. Thanks to the stump mics that record all those words of Dhoni.

The fans always love the way he is helping the bowlers and nurturing the current skipper Virat Kohli. There are a plethora of moments when he is seen directing the bowlers and suggesting the other teammates in multiple ways. Amidst all these, Dhoni’s plus point here is his Hindi language.

The opponents except for Pakistan and Afghanistan, all other International cricket teams don’t know Hindi and Dhoni uses it for the team’s benefit. Here language is the big problem for the opponents, especially for the South Africans now. After losing the ODI series 5-1 and the 1st T20I to India, the South African team is now aiming for the 2nd T20 match ahead.

To know the tactics and the commands that Dhoni give to his bowlers, Proteas have started preparing for the T20I series by skipping net practice sessions and learning Hindi, so that they can understand Dhoni’s tips to his bowlers.

“Our players have reached a stage where they feel learning an entirely new language is much easier than differentiating between a flipper and a googly. Dhoni gives advice to Kuldeep and Chahal throughout the match on how to bowl and once we learn Hindi, we will be able to decipher Dhoni’s commands and score runs against the spinners,” a South African player revealed their strategy.

“If we learn their language, we can find out what is Dhoni telling his players while setting the field and which Hindi cuss word Kohli is hurling at us,” he added.

Initially, the South African players were not so eager to learn Hindi for just one match, but then someone told them that knowledge of Hindi will make them popular in the IPL and help them fetch higher prices. After hearing this, the South Africans promised that they will learn to speak better Hindi than Indians.
