A local woman that was undergoing treatment at the Paras Hospital in Agra tested positive of the virus after she was referred to a hospital in Mathura.
The district administration declared that the Paras hospital was a hotspot, forcing them to seal it on the intervening evening of April 6 and 7.
The hospital under-reported the actual number of people including patients, the staff of the hospital, and their attendants.
When the local authorities took over, they found out that there were 220 people at the hospital, but the hospital only reported 73.
